Olufunke Adekoya is a senior advocate of Nigeria. She practices as an independent arbitrator, having recently retired as a Partner and the head of the Dispute Resolution practice group at ǼLEX, a commercial law firm operating in Lagos, Nigeria and Accra, Ghana. While at ǼLEX, her dispute resolution experience included providing litigation advice and legal representation to international organizations such as the African Development Bank and the Islamic Development Bank. She has over 45 years’ experience in commercial litigation and corporate dispute resolution, is knowledgeable in both Nigerian and English Law, and regularly sits as an arbitrator in institutional proceedings under the London Court of International Arbitration, the International Chamber of Commerce, and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes Arbitration Rules. She has also acted as either party appointed, sole, or chair of the arbitration panel in ad hoc arbitration proceedings in both international and domestic disputes.
