Dr. Huang Huikang is an expert of international law with profound knowledge and rich experience both in the practice of international law and diplomatic activities, and has been granted the BrandLaureate Diplomat Award and other honorary titles. He is currently a member of the UN International Law Commission, Arbitrator of Permanent Court of Arbitration(PCA), Chairman of the Advisory Committee of International Law Foreign Ministry of the People's Republic of China, Distinguished Professor of Wuhan University Academy of International Law and Global Governance, Visiting Professor of Zhejiang University Guanghua Law School. His professional career has included Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Malaysia, Director-General of the Department of Treaty and Law, Legal Adviser and Special Representative for Climate Change Negotiation, of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the Assistant Secretary-General of Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO), and Vice Mayor of the city of Tangshan, China. He has published more than 10 books and dozens of papers.
