Hamid Sharif is the first Managing Director of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB)’s Complaints-resolution, Evaluation and Integrity Unit (CEIU). He has almost three decades of experience in international development in Asia across major sectors, including infrastructure. Before joining AIIB, he served as Country Director for the People’s Republic of China at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). As Principal Director of the Central Operations and Services Office of ADB he was head of procurement for all ADB lending operations including infrastructure projects. He has also served as Assistant General Counsel and Chairman of the Appeals Committee. Prior to joining ADB he practiced law in Lahore with a leading firm. He is a barrister of Lincoln’s Inn with a Master in Law from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor in Law from Kingston University, United Kingdom.
