Zhou Hanmin

Zhou Hanmin, Professor of Law, supervisor of doctorate students, honorary doctor of law conferred by University of Liverpool of United Kingdom, currently serves as the Standing Committee Member of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), former Vice Chairman of China National Democratic Construction Association (CNDCA), former Vice Chairman of Shanghai Committee of CPPCC. He is also the President of Shanghai Institute of Socialism, Chairman of the National Association of Vocational Education of China, Shanghai Branch, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Public Diplomacy Association, Honorary Dean of Law School of SIFT.


Mr. Zhou was a teacher in Shanghai University of International Business & Economics (SUIBE) from 1983 to 2000. He has ever served as the Vice President of SUIBE and dean of its Law School. From 2000 to 2003, he served as the Deputy Chief Commissioner of Shanghai Pudong New Area People's Government. In 2002, as the Chinese Delegate to BIE residing in Paris, France, he was fully engaged in the whole process of bidding for World Expo. 2010, Shanghai. From October 2003 to February 2009, he served as the Deputy Director General of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination. He served as the Deputy Director General of the Executive Committee of Expo 2010 Shanghai China from February 2009.


Over the past three decades, Professor Zhou has been devoting himself to the teaching and research of International Economic Law, International Trade Law, GATT/WTO, Sino-US Relations, the development and opening-up of Pudong New Area, and World Expositions. He is the Visiting Professor or Honored Professor in many famous universities, including Venice University of Italy, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xiamen University, Tongji University, Dongbei University of Finance & Economics, East China University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai University, Donghua University and also Shanghai University of Economics & Trade.


He is the author of monographs including The Course of Thought: Collection of Papers on Reviewing China's Entry into WTO,Ten Years:Expo and I and so on. He has also published more than 300 theses in the fields of international economic law, GATT, WTO, trade remedy and foreign trade investigation, Shanghai World Expo, Shanghai Free Trade Zone, etc. He has also participated in the editing of textbooks and dictionaries related.
