Judge Wang Shumei, was born in March, 1963. She had a Master Degree of Law. She began her career in the Maritime Court of the Ministry of Transport from June, 1985 and then at the Transport Division of the SPC and the Fourth Civil Division of the SPC. She was originally appointed as a judge in April, 1999, and was appointed as National Adjudication Expert from, 2011, and the Deputy Chief Judge of the Fourth Civil Division in February, 2016. She took up appointment as the Chief Judge of the Fourth Civil Division in April 2019. In August, 2021, Judge Wang became a member of the Adjudication Committee of the SPC.
