9月9日，最高人民法院国际商事专家委员会第五届研讨会在上海举行。此次研讨会旨在进一步加强涉外法治建设，完善国际商事调解、仲裁、诉讼等争议解决机制，提升国际商事争议解决质效。

最高人民法院党组书记、院长张军出席研讨会并讲话。他强调，要充分发挥国际商事专家委员会“智库”作用，高效化解国际商事纠纷，促进中外法律制度交流互鉴。

张军对专家委员展现出的专业素养、跨文化能力和国际视野给予高度评价，并指出，应继续发挥好专家委员的桥梁纽带作用，推动中国与其他国家之间的法治交流与合作。

张军介绍了中国法院审理国际商事案件取得的成效和积累的经验，包括始终坚持对中外当事人平等保护，准确适用国际公约，以及积极运用科技手段提升案件办理质效。

他指出，中国法院依法妥善审理了大量涉外民商事纠纷，并不断完善司法解释，促进裁判尺度统一，稳定市场预期。值得注意的是，中国法院已有211个案例被联合国国际贸易法委员会等国际组织收录或援引，体现了中国司法公信力获得的国际认可。

张军还表示，中国法院正在统筹推进数字法院建设，推动司法知识普惠共享，并积极提升涉外法律服务智能化水平。通过运用智能技术实施创新举措，中国法院正努力进一步提升争议解决的质量和效率。

研讨会期间，来自世界各地的法律专家围绕国际商事争议解决领域的前沿问题展开了热烈讨论。议题包括：如何提高案件办理效率、服务全球产业链供应链稳定发展，调解实践创新，以及人工智能在国际商事争议解决领域的应用等。

A seminar aimed at enhancing international commercial dispute resolution opened on Wednesday, as part of China's broader efforts to accelerate the development of foreign-related legal systems and capabilities while refining mechanisms for international mediation, arbitration, litigation and other dispute resolution channels.

Zhang Jun, president of China's Supreme People's Court, emphasized the critical role of "think tanks" in efficiently resolving international commercial cases and fostering mutual learning between Chinese and foreign legal systems at the Fifth Seminar of the International Commercial Expert Committee, organized by the SPC in Shanghai.

He commended the expert members for their professionalism, cross-cultural expertise and global perspectives, highlighting the importance of continuing to serve as a bridge for legal cooperation between China and other nations.

Zhang outlined the achievements and experiences of Chinese courts in handling international commercial cases, including the steadfast application of the principle of equal protection for both domestic and foreign litigants, the precise application of international conventions and the proactive use of technology to enhance case handling.

He noted that Chinese courts have effectively handled numerous foreign-related civil and commercial disputes, refining judicial interpretations to ensure consistent rulings and stable market expectations. Notably, 211 cases have been cited by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and other global bodies, underscoring international recognition of China's judicial credibility.

Furthermore, Zhang highlighted that Chinese courts are advancing the development of digital courts in a coordinated manner, promoting the inclusive sharing of judicial knowledge and actively enhancing the intelligence of foreign-related legal services. Through innovative measures powered by smart technologies, they are striving to improve the quality and efficiency of dispute resolution.

During the seminar, legal experts from around the world engaged in lively discussions on pressing issues related to international commercial dispute resolution. Topics included improving the efficiency of case handling to support the stable development of global industrial and supply chains, innovations in mediation practices and the application of artificial intelligence in this sector.
