In 2026, Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab received the Global Arbitration Review (GAR) Award for the best prepared and responsive arbitrator, and in 2018 he received the ASA Prize for Global Advocacy in International Arbitration. In 2022, he was voted as the “Most Influential Legal Academic” and received THE LAW’s Award.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab is recognized as a world leading authority on international arbitration, Islamic Shari’a-based disputes, and online Dispute Resolution (ODR). He is also one of founding members of the International Council for Online Dispute Resolution (ICODR).
