Recently, in accordance with the work demands of the Supreme People’s Court, Du Weike, Gao Yanzhu, Pan Yongfeng, Yang Honglei, Yang Lei were appointed as the fourth group of five judges of the China International Commercial Court.

Their biographical notes are as follows:

Judge Du Weike was born at February 1979. He holds a Juris Doctor degree. Since May 2004, Judge Du has worked at the Board of Reexamination of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, the Intellectual Property Rights Division (the Third Civil Division), the Third Circuit Court, and the Intellectual Property Court of the SPC. He was appointed as a judge of the SPC in September 2017. In December 2023, he was appointed as the Deputy Chief Judge in the Intellectual Property Court of SPC.

Judge Gao Yanzhu was born in January 1980. She holds a Ph.D degree in law and was designated as a National Adjudication Expert. She started her career in July 2004, worked successively at Shandong University of Finance and Economy, the Second Civil Division, the First Civil Division and the First Circuit Court of the SPC. She was appointed as a judge of the SPC in September 2017.

Judge Pan Yongfeng was born in October 1976. She holds a Ph.D degree in law and was designated as a National Adjudication Expert. Since July 2002, Judge Pan has worked in the Second Civil Division, the Executive Bureau, and the Fifth Circuit Court of the SPC. She was appointed as a judge of the SPC in February 2016.

Judge Yang Honglei was born in August 1972. He was designated as a National Adjudication Expert. Since August 1998, Judge Yang has worked in the Fourth Civil Division and the Sixth Circuit Court of the SPC. From August 2014 to August 2015, he was the Vice-president of the Jinghai District People’s Court of Tianjin Municipality. He was appointed as a judge of the SPC in December 2012.

Judge Yang Lei was born in November 1980. She holds a Juris Doctor degree. She studied at Queen’s University, Belfast (UK) from September 2005 to December 2006. From July 2016 to July 2017, she was a visiting scholar at Columbia University (USA). Judge Yang has worked at the SPC since July 2007, successively served in the Human Resources Department, the Fourth Civil Division, the First Circuit Court. She was appointed as a judge of the SPC in December 2018.
